Hi ~ My name is Julie Molloy, I am a self taught artist, living my passion as a doll sculptor.  I started making dolls when I was about 16 years old. I used old nylons and scraps of fabric. I discovered the wonderful clays that are available today and can't put them down.

I was very amazed at the realism that can be created in my sculptures with a little imagination and lots of baby pictures for reference.

The birthing process starts with a lump of clay, a lot of hard labor, and a pot of coffee at 4:00 a.m.  I have studied many babies and pictures making sure I don't leave out a single newborn wrinkle. Paying very close attention to proportions and every detail, I capture the image in clay form. It takes many hours of sculpting by hand to recreate a precious bundle of joy. Going through all the labor involved, I deliver to you the most realistic Baby Dolls ever created.

I truly believe there is already a baby doll within the lump of clay.....
I am just helping it get out.
