Your Silicone Baby is special!
Silicone babies are quite easy to take care of.
The following tips will help you keep your baby
in the best condition.
Bathing: You can give your Baby a bath as often as you wish. Use gentle baby products to keep your baby clean and smelling wonderful. After baby's bath, thoroughly pat the baby dry with a soft towel (don't rub). Gentle bathing should not remove the paint. After baby's bath, the soft silicone baby skin may feel tacky or sticky. To remedy this, place a small amount of cornstarch baby powder on counter (do not use regular baby powder, it will leave a shine). Dip brush in the powder, shake or tap off excess. With a light, brushing stroke, apply powder to baby's skin, making it soft and smooth. Use a small brush to remove excess powder from ears, nostrils and creases. Use a damp Q-tip to clean baby's glass eyes, making them sparkle and shine.
Dressing: After you dress your baby, spray baby clothes with a spritz of baby cologne (and a little on yourself). This is nice to do before you take your baby on an outing. Do not spray baby cologne directly on the baby's hair. Baby clothes can be washed to remove cologne. I use baby laundry soap to keep clothes smelling fresh and new.
Hair Care: You can gently wash baby's hair too. Don't scrub too hard, this may cause more tangles. A gentle baby shampoo is recommended. Always use a no-tangles spray before combing or styling and in-between . This will make the hair easier to comb without pulling any hair from the babies head. Comb hair straight down from the crown to the outside edges. If you find a tangle in baby's hair, gently use the comb teeth to "pick" the tangle loose. In some instances, a small amount of hair may come out, just remember to be gentle each time you comb or brush. To make curls or wavy hair, comb in an upsweep motion. If after styling you find the baby hair is too wet, blot with a tissue to remove excess spray. Keeping baby's hair combed or brushed between shampoo will help keep tangles away. "Remember" to always spray hair with a no-tangles spray before combing or brushing. Baby hair is not permanently glued in or attached and can be pulled out if not handled gently.
Handling Baby: Silicone babies are quite sturdy & cannot be harmed easily. Protect your investment by monitoring baby's handling by others. Treat your baby like you would a real newborn and they will give you years of pleasure.
